Joe Hastings

Biography:  Joe Hastings is a native Texan, from the city Gonzalez. After initial schooling, he moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State University.  He schooled on an athletic scholarship, as a member of the Track & Field team, earning many conference and national accolades.  In 2006, upon the completion of his Bachelorette programme, Joe decided to move to San Antonio. 

Joe had been a fan of rugby for years, yet did not know San Antonio housed a team.  One day while reminiscing with a friend, he was turned on to Alamo City RFC and its members. 

In Fall of 2008, Joe made his rugby debut, attending several training sessions, and finally, stepping onto the pitch.  His interest in the sport has only grown since. 

Joe's size and athleticism allow him to play anywhere within the pack, but he is most comfortable at his natural position, Flanker.
